Android Against Symbian

Android and Symbian are two open mobile operating systems.The former is the latest whilst the later is an old software. Android is more popular than the Symbian because the former offers the user an opportunity to play several programs at a time on a mobile. The mobile that uses Symbian operating system are slow and swiftly get jammed by playing multiple programs on a mobile. For example, you cannot attend a call while playing a game on your mobile device and if you try to do so your mobile might get stuck.

Above stated qualities of droid reveals the fact that it offers unlimited applications whilst the Symbian offers limited. However, despite many differences, both share one common feature and that is their openness. Though both platforms are open but the android operating system offers limited openness whilst the Symbian is absolutely open. Developers need to buy the Google's software development kit in order to make changes in the software.
With the help of this kit a developer can create new applications along with the inbuilt applications of an Android system. Basically, an Android operating system is built on the notion that the new applications are as good as the older. This is the reason that an emulator in a Google kit helps a developer to check their applications on an Android OS.
With the growing popularity of the Android operating system, many full-featured smart phones have changed their platform from the Symbian to the Android. Nokia is the major example in this context as it has jumped from the Symbian Operating System to the android's in mobiles. Currently, only low-end devices are using the Symbian OS.
In brief, the android has the support of Google, the technology giant but the Symbian is deprived of this big push.
